A Little Of My Story

I fell in love with photography for a simple reason:
it turns timeless moments into something we can keep.
A way to hold onto the days that shape us,
long after they’ve passed.

I believe, like a photograph, we only grow more valuable
with time. Our edges grow rougher, we may wrinkle, but our stories become richer. That truth became even more real
to me after the loss of my sister — when I learned just how powerful a single image can be in keeping someone close.

I was raised on a ranch near Florence, South Dakota, riding horses and working cattle, and those roots still shape the
way I see the world. Add a camera to that life and you have everything I love — good-hearted people, wide-open spaces, and stories worth remembering.

When I’m not behind the camera or computer, you’ll find me
on our family farm with my husband, our son, and our dog named Thorn —usually chasing cattle, a kid, or a good idea.
